K-GRIP™ Thread Motor for AG-1980

The K-GRIP™ Thread Motor is only available in TGrant Photo LLC refurbished AG-1980s!

Since 2022, all of our refurbished Panasonic AG1980s now have our proprietary designed K-GRIP™ thread motors installed, Please don't confuse our K-Grip thread motors, with the Panasonic K-Mechanism. The K-Grip motor is a proprietary development by TGrant Photo LLC and is not associated with the original Panasonic AG-1980 design. The K-GRIP™ is only available on TGrant Photo LLC's AG-1980 VCRs.

The TGrant Photo LLC  K-GRIP™ doesn't rely on glued or crimped-on drive parts. The K-GRIP™ design gives a strong, direct transfer of power throughout the threading mechanism. All our refurbished AG-1980s now have the K-Grip motor.  If you're sending us a Panasonic AG1980 for repair, we always install the K-GRIP™ thread motor upgrade during the repair process.
