This bobbin case has the extra wide 14mm slot for use on machines that use a very wide zig-zag or embroidery stroke. If you're breaking needles on your present bobbin case when you use the widest zig-zag stitch, then this is the bobbin case you need. This will also fit machines with a 9mm wide bobbin case slot. The width of the bobbin case opening measures 14mm at it's widest point.
